Info
Reputation (or more commonly known as 'rep') is a statistic in Bus Simulator that works as collection for milestones like as heart tags, and it also has two different forms, both of which can be obtained in different ways.

Originally, it was meant to just be a collectable stat; with only Driver Reputation offering Heart Tags as milestones and kicking lower reputable players.

Following the 10 Million Update, Passenger Reputation used to also act as a currency, providing substance towards the second, new currency...

...That was until the Phone Overhaul Update, where Coins became the new standalone currency, making Passenger Reputation redundant once more.
Passenger Reputation
Passenger Reputation can be obtained by:
  • Thanking your current Bus Driver (using "thanks" "thx" "thank" "+rep" "tank", etc.) and the driver's name after that. The name also must have at least the first three letters of their display/username. (1 Passenger Reputation)
    • An example would be: "+rep Joe" or "thanks Try" (Display Name: Tryhard | Username: Joe47478)
  • Getting it as a half-hourly gift from the New Year's event. (3-20 Passenger Reputation)
  • Inviting or being invited by a friend, and staying with them for an hour. (10 Passenger Reputation per friend, up to 30 per day)
  • Giving Drinks to NPCs. (1-8 Passenger Reputation)
  • Finishing the Cafe mini-game with high scores. (5-6 Passenger Reputation)

Driver Reputation
Similarly, Driver Reputation can be obtained by:
  • Being the one thanked by passengers. (This requires sitting on the Driver's Seat.) (Arbitrarily 1 Driver Reputation)
    • It is still largely unknown whether the arbitrary chance of getting reputation is a bug or a feature.
  • Completing Tazer's RAM Quest. (2 Driver Reputation)
  • Getting it as a half-hourly gift from the New Year's event. (3-10 Driver Reputation)
  • Inviting or being invited by a friend, and staying with them for an hour. (10 Driver Reputation for the first friend and 5 for subsequent friends, up to 20 per day)
  • Giving Drinks to NPCs. (1-8 Driver Reputation)

Driver Reputation also has a main use, that being the ability to kick other drivers off.
This only works if you have both the Bus Driver Gamepass and higher Driver Reputation (including your actual and extra) than the current driver, doing so otherwise will fail unless the current driver lacks the gamepass. Same happens if you and the driver are at the same

Driver Reputation can also give you heart tags depending on how much you have, with the last heart at 10,000 and the last "heart" at 50,000. You can change which one you want to use with the !setheart command.
Trivia
  • There originally was meant to be a Broken Heart for getting 10 Driver Rep, but this has been replaced with the Beating Heart.
  • Passenger Reputation actually still has some purpose even following its regained redundancy, being used when purchasing / unlocking Seat Animations, however, since no submitter knew (and if they knew likely didn't bother) about the feature, all seat animations thus far have been entirely free.
