The New Years is a passive event that happens during December 31st to January 1st of every year and is completely based on your timezone. During this time, you'll recieve different rewards every half hour, the rewards are as follows:
  • +3 / +5 Driver Reputation
  • +3 / +5 Passenger Reputation
  • +2 Free Songs
  • +1 / +3 Advanced Event Token
  • +20 Passenger Reputation & +10 Driver Reputation

And the following dialogue will also display:
  • Every half-hour, you receive a gift in celebration of the new year! You received: _!


You can also receive other rewards to such as:
  • Sparkler - A temporary item that releases sparkles of various colors. Obtained as soon as you join the game during this period and is revoked following January 1st.
  • New Years Chocolate - A permanent item that can be obtained within the first half-hour of rewards.
  • P15-Maisto - A temporary item that shoots out fireworks during the event, also obtained within the first half-hour of rewards. Disappears following January 1st.
    • If you obtained this item during New Years 2023 however, this instead becomes a permanent item. You also need to have the New Years Chocolate first to obtain.


Changes and Additions
During this period, firework launchers will appear on the third floor of The Bus, occassionally shooting fireworks; and those who have hit 12:00 AM will have their name announced by a [BREAKING NEWS] Article:
  • Happy new year, [Player A] (, [Player B] and [Player C])!
Lastly, one it's past 12:00 AM in your timezone, the following message will display:
  • Hourly rewards have concluded. Thank you for playing Bus Simulator. I hope you have a wonderful start to the new year! 💙 - Noble
